Directorate General for the Regulation of Gambling

The Directorate General for Gambling Regulation has decided to approve the technical gambling systems of 51 operators, granting permanent status to the gambling licences issued in June 2012. These will be valid for 10 years. Two operators have voluntarily relinquished their licences.

The approval of technical gambling systems recognises compliance with the requirements of Spanish gambling regulations. Approval was based on the operator gambling system certification reports issued by the Directorate General for Gambling Regulation.

Technical gambling systems consist of components, hardware and software used by operators to provide gambling services.

Granting approvals and permanent licences is complementary to the powers foreseen in the Gambling Act, Law 13/2011 to authorise, inspect, control and, where necessary, sanction.
