Quarter Summary
The GGR for the quarter was € 203.95 million, a slight decrease of -0.29% quarter over quarter and a decrease of -5.55% year over year.
Regarding the rest of the main figures, deposits and withdrawals of the players, their variation rates rise in relation to the previous quarter, 0.55% and 9.82% respectively. Marketing expenditure reduces -4.76% quarter over quarter and new accounts experiences a decrease with respect to the previous quarter, -5.45%. Details are shown in Table 1.
In the analysis of the GGR by game segments, it is observed that:
The € 203.95 million of GGR are distributed among € 60.90 million in Betting (29.86%); € 3.35 million in Bingo (1.64%); € 117.15 million in Casino (57.44%); € 0.01 million in Contests (0.00%) and € 22.53 million in Poker (11.05%).
The betting segment has a negative variation rate of -6.69% quarter over quarter and -33.78% year over year. There is a rise with respect to the previous quarter in pre-match, 15.21% and a decrease in-played sportsbook, -23.09%. Other bettings have decreased -36.00% this quarter, and horse betting has increased 172.61%.
Bingo has experienced a decline of -6.59% quarter over quarter and an increase of 2.69% year over year.
In the casino segment, there has been a rise of 5.57% quarter over quarter and an annual variation rate of 17.33%. Slots is the game with the highest increasing rate, 23% and life roulette has also increased 15.40% year over year. Slots and BlackJack have variation rates of 10.08% and 0.18% quarter over quarter, respectively. On the other hand, conventional and life roulette have decreased -2.97% and -0,53% quarter over quarter.
Contests experienced a fall of -96.44% quarter over quarter and -98.19% year over year. This segment continues an irregular behaviour with annual variation rates in the second quarter of 36.89% in 2019; 733.02% in 2020; -87.09% in 2021.
Poker presents a decrease of -7.86% quarter over quarter and an increase of 10.77% year over year. Poker tournament had a negative variation rate of -8.28% quarter over quarter and a positive rate 6.30% year over year. Poker cash has decreased -6.98% compared to the previous quarter and has a growth of 21.34% compared to the same quarter of the previous year.
As a summary, the percentage distribution of the GGR for the different segments in this quarter of the period from 2019 to 2022 is shown in Table 2.
Marketing expenses has been € 89.63 million in the last quarter. It may be broken down into € 7.91 million affiliation expenses; € 0.38 million sponsorship; promotions € 49.48; and advertising € 31.87 million. Compared to the previous quarter, marketing expenses decrease by -4.76% and by -30.25% in annual variation. Advertising expenses experienced a decline of -7.41% quarter over quarter and -48.29% year over year. Sponsorship has dropped -40.66% quarter over quarter and –95.06% year over year. Affiliates and promotions expenses have reduced -11.61% and -1.25% quarter over quarter. Promotions are broken down into cost of bonus included in prizes, € 21.45 million and cost of bonus not included in prizes, € 28.03 million.
The monthly average of active game accounts is 996,149; which implies a decrease of -2.42% quarter over quarter and an increase of -0.30% year over year. The monthly average of the new game accounts is 146,057; with a reduction of -5.45% quarter over quarter and a decline of -25.99% year over year.
