The GGR for the quarter was € 304.92 million, a decrease of -2.76% quarter over quarter and an increase of 50.96% year over year.

Regarding the rest of the main figures, deposits and withdrawals of the players, their variation rates rise in were 22.74% and 15.68% year over year, and -0.31% and 0.78% quarter over quarter, respectively. Marketing expenditure declined -13.08% quarter over quarter and new accounts experiences a decrease with respect to the previous quarter, -15.78%. Details are shown in Table 1.

In the analysis of the GGR by game segments, it is observed that:

The € 304.92 million of GGR is distributed as follows:  € 130.60 million in Betting (42.83%); € 3.35 million in Bingo (1.10%); € 143.36 million in Casino (47.02%); € 0.25 million in Contests (0.08%) and € 27.36 million in Poker (8.97%).

The betting segment has a variation rate of -7.65% quarter over quarter and 100.1% year over year. There is a decrease with respect to the previous quarter; pre-match, -11.21%; in-played sportsbook, -6.11%.  Horseracing decreased by -5.92% and other betting increased by 37.76%.

Bingo has experienced a decline of -7.40% quarter over quarter and -6.62% year over year.

In the casino segment, there has been a rise of 0.64% quarter over quarter and an annual variation rate of 29.19%. Slots is the game with the highest increasing rate, 31.29% follows by live roulette, 32.19%, year over year. Their variation rates were 1.23% and 0.3% quarter over quarter, respectively. On the other hand, conventional roulette has decreased -3.81% quarter over quarter.

Contests experienced a growth of 730.40% quarter over quarter and a fall of -4.89% year over year. This segment continues an irregular behaviour with annual variation rates in the first quarter of 99.50% in 2020; -7.59% in 2021; -85.15% in 2022.

Poker presents a rise of 5.01% quarter over quarter and 24.92% year over year. Poker tournament had a variation rate of 8.42% quarter over quarter and 32.06% year over year. Poker cash has declined -2.72% compared to the previous quarter and increased 9.93% compared to the same quarter of the previous year.

As a summary, the percentage distribution of the GGR for the different segments in this quarter of the period from 2020 to 2023 is shown in Table 2.

Marketing expenses has been € 93.30 million in the last quarter. It may be broken down into € 11.86 million affiliation expenses; € 1.22 million sponsorship; promotions € 50.19; and advertising € 30.03 million. Compared to the previous quarter, marketing expenses declined by -13.08% and -0.81% in annual variation. Advertising expenses decreased -22.79% quarter over quarter and -12.75% year over year. Affiliates expenses has decreased -19.90% quarter over quarter and increased 32.45% year over year.
Sponsorship expenses fell -30.48 quarter over quarter and increased 93.18% year over year. Promotions decreased -3.26% quarter over quarter and grew 0.27% year over year. Promotions are broken down into cost of bonus included in prizes, € 13.33 million and cost of bonus not included in prizes, € 36.86 million.

The monthly average of active game accounts is 1,158,628; which implies a decline of -2.57% quarter over quarter and an increase of 11.06% year over year. The monthly average of the new game accounts is 111.390; with a reduction of -15.78% quarter over quarter and -2.68% year over year.

For this quarter, there are 78 licensed operators and the number of active operators by segment is:
